Online Network Marketing Focus #6

by Del Edwards

I’ve always been a dreamer. I’d spend time dreaming about what I was going do the next day, the next week, the next month, the next year, the next decade… you get the picture. I’d spend time dreaming about becoming successful, about the many places I would visit and about the people I would help. I’d spend time dreaming about what life would be like when I regained total control of my health.  I would dream about not having to go into the office, not being on a schedule and I would dream about real freedom.

There’s nothing wrong with dreaming in and of itself. It’s part of the process that is required to achieve growth. In fact, we have to have ideals to reach for and we need to set goals that will help us to get there. But, what we need to realize is that our dreams become reality only when we implement a plan of action that allows us to move closer to those dreams. So how do we do that?

Focus on the PROCESS, not the end result!

Every dream, every goal, can be achieved if the right path is taken. It’s what we DO on the journey toward the dream that determines whether or not the dream will become reality. For example, someone may dream of losing 20 lbs, but that dream does not become a reality until the decision is made to consistently do those things that actually support weight loss. Once the steps are broken down into “bite sized” action plans it becomes easy to focus on the process instead of focusing on the goal. The process by which someone can lose weight is simply by making the decision to exercise daily while reducing the intake of unhealthy foods. So, the goal may be losing 20 lbs, but just focusing on the goal does absolutely nothing. If the focus is shifted to the process — exercising daily, reducing unhealthy foods — then the dream or goal automatically becomes an eventual reality.

In this network marketing industry people tend to focus and dream about “making it big” and while there is nothing inherently wrong with that, the dream remains the focus, the process is not given enough thought and actions that would support the eventual reality of the dream are not implemented with any degree of consistency. The main focus should be on the process — creating a daily plan of action and following it consistently. Each business is slightly different, but the fundamentals of network marketing are the same. The more people you are able to introduce to your business, the quicker your business will grow. So the focus should be on the process of doing what is necessary on a daily basis to find people to talk to.

Learn the fundamentals of your business, then simply implement a daily plan of action and do those things with consistency.

To your success!!
